Friends of the Fridge: Uplifting and Up-Lounging

The luckiest 2,000 square feet in Austin.

Spring Greetings, Fridge Raiders,

Winter seems to be behind us, so join us at the Red Fridge Society for front-porch weather. We are gearing up for a slew of SXSW member events, but fear not—we have some time set aside for you, too.

In this issue: Multiple ways to wine, SXSW VIP, Fridge upgrades, jumping the poker line, and more events than you could possibly attend.

Wait, what’s this? This is the once-a-month newsletter from Austin’s luckiest entrepreneur club, the Red Fridge Society. You can always unsubscribe here.

  • SXSW VIP? In addition to the Datasent SXSW VIP event, if you know an amazing founder that needs a place to take a meeting or just to take a break during SXSW, have them reach out to Chris.

  • Get Luckier. Want to try out the Society and create some serendipity? We’re offering a rare discount. Enjoy membership through June but only pay for three months. The best time to apply was last week, but the second best is today!

  • Up-Lounging. Join us in Hotpoint, our upgraded Magnate lounge. Now with swanky new furniture, a vinyl collection, and an extremely top shelf bar. (Fridge fact: all of our conference rooms are named after classic refrigerator brands).

Get your groove on in our upscaled vinyl lounge, Hotpoint. (dog not included)

  • Spring Into Action. Our spring event schedule is firming up, and there’s a lot to love. Multiple coffee tastings, multiple wine makers, poker, and a Hollywood lunch. More details and RSVPs are below.

  • New Players Welcome. Our quarterly 36 Founder Poker Tourney is my favorite event, but it has our longest waitlist. After members grab their seats, I give preference to founders who haven’t played with us before. Sound like you? Jump on our May tourney waitlist now.

Still in the running for the $15K prize pool. Still Smiling.

What types of founders are members of the Society? Behold! Our freshest newsletter feature: The Monthly Magnate.

Great hair isn’t required to be a Fridge Magnate, but it doesn’t hurt.

Fridge Factoids:

What’s Fresh in the Fridge?

Our members are throwing a lot of private events in March for SXSW, but we have a few events open to our Friends. You can check out our entire calendar, but here are some featured events. Note that “Founder Only” events are limited to founders past or present and start on a waitlist.

Spring into Action

  • Upgrade your Experience. Have you been on the fence but want to try out the Society? We’re offering a rare discount: Enjoy membership through June, but only pay for three months.

  • Although the full bar, meeting rooms, and coworking are all great reasons to join, the community is the primary value driver of the Red Fridge Society. Our brand promise is that you’ll have a conversation at the Fridge in the first 6 months that pays for the first 2 years.

  • Memberships start at $850/month. You can apply here.

  • Want to come check out the Fridge but can’t make an event? You can grab an hour on Chris’s calendar to get a tour.

February Leftovers

Sharing the Love. We had a packed event schedule in February: An Investor outlook lunch, couples therapy with a side of BBQ, Pinthouse’s founding story over a beer or six, Podcast recording with the taller Taylor brother, wine & AI with Geoff Woods, our Founder Poker Tourney… just to name a few… whew!

Magnate Jim Curry discusses the state of the startup capital markets.

Taping the Hillclimbers podcast. (look! I’m taller than my brother Rob when he’s sitting down)

That’s it for March!

Keep being chill, and I hope to see you Fridge-side soon.
