It’s hard to believe we’re reached the end of our first full year as a Society and have arrived at our final update of 2024. We at the Society hope that your Thanksgiving was extra chill, and we are grateful to have you as a part of our community. We’re looking forward to spending more time fridge-side with you in 2025.

Top of the Fridge

• Last call for coffee: We have a couple of founder spots left at our last coffee tasting of the year TOMORROW (Tuesday) at 10 am.

• Raid the Fridge: Cozy Edition. Our quarterly open happy hour is coming up in January. This one will include our two firepits and a Brandy tasting.

• Founders who lunch. Starting in January we’re hosting a lunch series where we pick a topic and have an expert lead us in a discussion. First up: State of Austin real estate with Fridge Member Tarek Morshed January 8th.

• The perfect gift for the founder in your life. We’ve got a few more Fully Stocked membership spots before our next price bump. If you’ve been on the fence about joining the Society, now is an excellent time to apply. Alas, we don’t do Black Friday.

• Encore Whiskey and Chocolate. Our Whiskey Investing and Chocolate tasting events last month were not only over-subscribed, but also suprisingly educational and beyond delicous. So we’re working on scheduling encores for smaller groups.

What’s Fresh in the Fridge?

Most of our December/early January events are private or member only, but we have a few events open to guests. You can see our entire calendar here, but here are some featured events. Note that “Founder” or “Invite Only” events are limited to founders past or present.

• TOMORROW! December 3rd: Founder Coffee Tasting (Founder’s Only) Come and share stories, more coffee than you need, and dig into all the crazy coffee contraptions we have at the Fridge.

• December 7th: Fridge Football: UT SEC Championship (Member/Prospective Member Only) If you’re a UT fan, but not enough of one to fly to Atlanta for the SEC championship, we’ve got you covered.

• January 8th: Fridge Food: Lunch and Austin Real Estate Outlook Join us for lunch and a discussion led by Fridge Magnate Tarek Morshed about the investment opportunities (or not?) in the Austin area markets.

• January 14th: Founder Coffee Tasting (Founder’s Only) Kick off the year with more coffee than you need, and dig into all the crazy coffee contraptions we have at the Fridge.

• Jan 15th: Fridge Live: Founder’s First Virtual Assistant (Founder’s only) Join Tomer Soran, the founder of Austin based VA agency Effortless Hire, for a fridge-side chat about tips and tricks for how a founder can get started with Virtual Assistants.

• January 23rd: Raid the Fridge Fireside Brandy Happy Hour (open) our quarterly community happy hour. This time we're going to stoke up both of our fire pits and do a fireside Brandy tasting (Cognac, Armagnac, American Brandy, etc.)

• February 27th Red Fridge POKER Society Founder Tournament since these are always massively waitlisted, we’re already opening up the waitlist. After members get their seats, I prioritize founders that haven’t been to one yet, so sign up ($200 buy in, prize pool was $15K last time!)

Don’t Forget the Leftovers

• In the last month, in addition to our usual happy hours, coffee tastings, and longevity Q&As, we had our second Founder Poker Tournament, tasted award winning chocolate, learned all about Whiskey investing (and drinking), and shot a live podcast episode with Lone Startup.
