Friends of the Fridge: Boozyless or Boozier?

The luckiest 2,000 square feet in Austin.
Greetings Esteemed Fridge Raiders.
Behold! It’s the September edition of the Red Fridge Society newsletter. In this issue: a gathering for every type of beverage, custom tailoring(s), and serious founder poker.
Wait, what’s this? This is the once-a-month newsletter on the happenings at Austin’s luckiest entrepreneur club, the Red Fridge Society. If you’ve registered for one of our events, we thought you might want to come chill with us again. You can always unsubscribe here… we’re tough, we can take it.
Someone forward this email? You can become a Friend of the Fridge here.

Boozyless? We had an enlightening and holistically buzzy inaugural non-alcoholic happy hour last month. We’re following it up this Tuesday featuring Graham Wasilition, the founder of local NA spirit brand Tenneyson. Graham will take us through the NA landscape, his founder journey, and a tasting of some of his favorite ways to “drink”.
No alcohol, no problem.
Venture a Cocktail? Our big upcoming community event is the Texas Venture Fest on October 3rd. We’re hosting a collection of emerging and established VCs as a stop on the Fest circuit. Amazing conversation, full bar, and tacos by Fareground. Not to be missed and open to all, so bring your capitalist friends.
Boozier? Mario the somm was recently in the Fridge teaching us about our personal wine profiles, and he’s back October 11th to bestow more wine knowledge to us mere mortals.
Mario can fill a room (and crush our wine collection)
Suits for all. Friday the 27th we’ll have Johnny the Tailor back in the Fridge. Johnny’s been my tailor for 20 years and swings through the States to take measurements for amazingly reasonable custom suits and shirts. Grab a spot for a fitting here.
Magnates Rising. We’ve had a bit of a membership rush recently (thanks Ethan!) I’ve got 6 more Fully Stocked membership spots before our next price bump. If you’ve been on the fence about joining the Society, now might be an excellent time to apply.
Community Events
We have a packed social schedule for the rest of the year. You can see our entire calendar here, but here are some featured events that are open to Fridge Raiders. Note that invite only events are limited to Founders.
September 24 9:30am: Founder Coffee Tasting Arabica vs Robusta. This time we're going to try a traditional "cupping" of the two most common species of coffee beans and taste single origin Arabica side by side with Robusta beans.
September 24th Boozyless HH w/Tenneyson. Our NA happy hour series is back. This time we are hosting the founder of one of the local NA brands, Tenneyson. Graham will regale us with stories of the NA Spirit landscape and lead us in a tasting.
September 27th Fridge Fit-Johnny the Tailor. First Johnny the Thai Tailor will be taking measurements and orders all day at the Fridge. (custom suits for ~$1000). Grab a spot at the link above and hang out around the Fridge a bit.
October 3rd Texas Venture Fest We’re hosting a collection of emerging and established VCs as their stop on the circuit. Amazing conversation, full bar and tacos by Fareground. Open to all.
October 11th: Wine Taste Profiles with Somm Mario. Are you an old world or new world wine drinker? Do you like high or low acidity? Join Sommelier Mario for a comparative wine tasting to learn your personal taste profile…. and save yourself a lifetime of disappointment and wasted money.
October 11th. Fridge Fit-Dege and Skinner Tailors from London's famous Savile Row will be here (>>$2000/suit). Grab a spot at the link above—and feel free to share with your fancy friends.
Oct 29th Raid the Fridge Halloween Happy Hour our quarterly community happy hour with our eerily good alcoholic and non-alcoholic bars. Costumes optional, but you’re lame if you don’t wear one.
November 14th Red Fridge POKER Society Tournament our last poker tourney was not only massively waitlisted, but our highest rated event yet (especially by first place who walked with $8K). You can join the waitlist for the next one now, and I’ll release seats a few weeks out once our members grab their seats.
What's Chilling in the Fridge?
In the last month, in addition to our usual alcoholic and non alcoholic happy hours, wine, and coffee tastings, we had an epic founder poker tournament, hosted BodytimeMD’s women’s longevity summit, and launched Geoff Wood’s AI-Driven Leader book.
Everyone’s still smiling early in the night.
Okay, maybe we served wine at the longevity summit.
Fellow Fridge Magnate Geoff can both write books and wow a crowd.
After the run on tequila at the poker tourney (you know who you are) we decided to triple down and just upgrade our member lounge mini-bar. To be clear, this is not a Magnate challenge to drink this in a single night (again)
Fridge Magnates Unite!
Want to work and hang out around other entrepreneurs & investors and get guaranteed access to our poker games, coffee tastings, and invite only events? Graduate from Fridge Raider to Fridge Magnate.
Although the full bar, meeting rooms, and coworking are all great reasons to join, the community is the primary value driver of the Red Fridge Society. Our brand promise is that you’ll have a conversation at the Fridge in the first 6 months that will pay for the first 2 years.
We have a 2-Tier membership structure. Our 24/7 Fully Stocked membership with coworking, meetings, and social is $1,350 a month with our Chill Membership (after 4:00 + weekends + events) at $850 a month. You can apply here.
Want to come check out the Fridge but can’t make an event? You can grab an hour on Chris’ calendar to get a tour
Stay cool, and hope to see you Fridge-side soon!
